Keep the art of paper making alive with beautiful, decorative handmade paper photo frames made by CraftbellyPosted in Chicago family photographer on 03/29/2013 07:23 am by admin
Designer Lizzie Greco has a small part of keeping the art of handmade paper alive by building her business Craftbelly Frames + Mirrors around it. Each frame she makes begins as an unfinished wood frame that she wraps tightly with handmade decorative paper to impart a “painted-on” effect. A majority of the papers she uses are imported from other countries where the art of paper-making is alive and well. These papers include Lokta, Indian Rag, Chiyogami, and Katazome-shi.
Lizzie has have come up with a small collection for me that are elegant and subdued but beautiful and original. The collection consists of 7 different frames available in a full range of sizes from 4×6 to 20×24.
